Do Small Things With a Great Heart
Our whole life - no matter how important or 'meaningless', famous or hidden, rich or poor, it may be - is for everybody, as a matter of fact, a chain of small actions: eating, walking, working, helping... in many of these things there are other people: our family, the people with whom we live, work, relax, play, we pass by in the street, on the road... We can try to live each one of these moments as a gift of God, a chance to love and to show his love, or we can be wrapped up in our own thoughts. In gratitude for God's love and for His care for us and for everything he gives us, Mother wanted to be an image of this love. Therefor she lived every single second of her life in God's presence. He lived in every single person she met, especially in the poorest of the poor. Mother was trying to live God's love in every single second of her life by doing every small thing with a great heart; by doing every small thing as if it was the only and the last thing to do for her in life and the only and the last opportunity to show God's love by loving her neighbor. This was her prayer : to be a go-between of God's love between a human being and God. We ordinary people can hardly imagine that one should be so scrupulous about ones attitude during every single moment of our lives. But this is for Mother a full response to God's call. God, one day will ask her: " I was hungry... I was naked... and you..." Because Mother loves God so much, this words call her for a great responsibility: to see God in every human being and meet Him thus in this disguise; to use every single act, every single word to show her love for Him and so take up this responsibility and carry it out for the rest of her life. One can only understand this when he/she uses the same standard. |

The Fruit...
"The fruit of silence is prayer... the fruit of prayer is faith... the fruit of faith is love... the fruit of love is service... the fruit of service is peace."

Prayer for Peace
"Lead me from death to life, from lies to truth
Lead me from despair to hope, from fear to trust
Lead me from hatred to love, from war to peace
Let peace fill our heart, our world, our universe... peace, peace, peace."

Love Begins at Home...
This is a great truth. It is easy to show great love for people abroad, by words, but not being capable of living in love with your brother and sister. This doesn't mean that you cannot disagree with one another. Thank God. Each one of us is different so we have another point of view once in a while. But it does mean that in spite of this difference the love that binds you, the love of God that is among you is the main truth. It means that you stand for one another and that you help each other. That when there is an argument there is also a time for making peace. When we get hurt in our families, that there is also a time that we forgive each other and learn to celebrate the joy for Gods' love among us. If we pray we will be capable of all this. We will be able to love at home, to accept not only ourselves, but also our family members as they are and learn to see them the way God sees them or the way He meant them to be. To love is really difficult, to love in the family most difficult sometimes. So let us learn to love at home, because if we can love there we are supported and capable of loving elsewhere and of spreading love around us.

Prayer for the Holy Spirit
Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy
Act in me, O Holy Spirit, that my work too may be holy
Draw my heart, O Holy Spirit, that I love but what is holy
Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit, to defend all that is holy
Guide me then, O Holy Spirit, that I always may be holy.

Prayer from Saint Francis
Lord, make me a channel of Your peace,
that where there is hatred, I may bring love,
where there is wrong, I may bring the spirit of forgiveness,
where there is discord, I may bring harmony,
where there is error, I may bring truth,
where there is doubt, I may bring faith,
where there is despair, I may bring hope,
where there are shadows, I may bring light
and where there is sadness, I may bring joy.
Lord, grant that I may comfort, rather than to be comforted,
that I may understand, rather that to be understood
that I may love, rather than to be loved.
For it is by forgetting self, that one finds
it is by forgiving, that one is forgiven
it is by dying that one awakens to eternal life.

You can pray while you work.
Work doesn't stop prayer and prayer doesn't stop work.
It requires only that small raising of the mind to him:
"I Love you God, I trust you, I believe in You, I need you now."
Small things like that. They are wonderful prayers."
